LSB Industries is acquiring full ownership of the El Dorado CCS project in Arkansas to produce approximately 380,000 tonnes of blue ammonia annually. The facility aims to capture 500,000 tonnes of CO2 per year, with operations expected to begin by late 2026 or early 2027. The company is investing 95 million dollars into the project, leveraging the US Section 45Q tax credit program. These incentives provide 85 dollars per tonne for permanently stored carbon, supporting the financial viability of the transition to low carbon industrial operations.
