LS Cable and System subsidiary Korea Future Materials has opened a new plant in Gunsan focused on recycled copper and advanced materials. The facility uses recovered copper from waste cables, which can reduce carbon emissions by up to 80 percent compared to traditional mining. The company is also introducing Cuflake, a new material for copper foil that simplifies the manufacturing process. This move is part of a broader strategy to create a resource circulating supply chain and expand operations into the North American market via Virginia.
