Local Power has partnered with UK-based Power Saving Solutions to bring Hussh Pods mobile battery units to Ireland. These units can cut diesel generator fuel use by over 50%, reducing noise and carbon emissions on construction, utility, and events sites. The partnership includes a dedicated team of BESS engineers in Ireland for commissioning and maintenance. Hussh Pods range from single-phase to 200kVA units that can be paralleled for larger sites. They can power multi-cabin sites, tower cranes, and lighting, or act as a grid buffer. Power Saving Solutions has deployed over 1,000 units across the UK since 2013. Local Power has installed over 80MW of rooftop solar PV in Ireland over the past decade. For businesses using diesel or HVO generators, this offers a practical way to lower emissions without fully switching away from portable power. The real test will be adoption rates and cost competitiveness versus traditional generators in the Irish market.
