First mover ammonia shipments are already heading to Europe and Asia but the article asks whether ports and crackers will be ready. That is the right question. A lot of project announcements assume the receiving end will just figure it out.

Does the article say how much cracking capacity is actually under construction in Europe right now? I have seen a lot of MoUs but not many shovels in the ground for ammonia crackers.

It does not give a hard number for crackers under construction. That is the weak spot. Policy incentives for import terminals exist but the cracker side is less clear. Without that step, ammonia arrives and sits.
