Hydro Aluminum Metals and Parsons Healthy Materials Lab are partnering to study how low-carbon production and advanced recycling can reduce the environmental impact of aluminum in buildings. The effort aims to shift the perception of aluminum as a high-emission material by leveraging renewable energy and better recycling loops. The partnership will produce a study on the benefits and limitations of these low-carbon solutions. The findings will be shared with architects, builders, and manufacturers to help them make sustainable material choices under increasing regulatory pressure.
