Charnwood Borough Council has replaced over 400 outdated light fixtures at Loughborough Town Hall with energy efficient LED alternatives. The project targets the main foyer, gallery, and auditorium, replacing equipment that was up to 45 years old. The retrofit is expected to cut the venue's carbon footprint by nearly 30 tonnes per year and reduce lighting energy use by an average of 65%. With a total cost of 133,000 pounds, the council expects a full return on investment within three and a half years.
