Lotte Engineering & Construction has introduced the Soylastic Sound Insulation Palette, a new flooring component made from recycled construction aggregates and waste plastics. The material is designed to reduce inter-floor noise by 4 to 6 dB while lowering the carbon footprint of apartment construction. Developed in partnership with startup Regent & I, the product integrates heating pipe support with shock absorption. The company claims the material simplifies installation and reduces costs by over 50 percent compared to existing third-party alternatives.
