Agreed. The 20% reduction is for the Jiaxing site, not the heating project specifically. The article says the heating system was validated at Weibei and replicated at two other plants. That is three facilities. Would be useful to know the total thermal load displaced and whether this scales to their other factories.

Payback is the missing piece. Waste heat recovery in industrial settings can be very cost effective if the plant layout allows it. But battery manufacturing has tight humidity and temp specs, so the retrofit complexity is higher. If LONGi published the economics, it would help other manufacturers evaluate the same approach.
