LONGi Wins 2026 Climate Lighthouse Award for Zero-Carbon Heating in Solar Manufacturing

LONGi Green Energy received the '2026 Climate Lighthouse' Outstanding Case award at Shanghai Climate Week for its battery manufacturing heating self-balancing project. The system recovers waste heat and optimizes thermal energy use to eliminate external heating in winter production. It has been validated at LONGi's Weibei facility and replicated at Gaoling and Tongchuan plants, offering a replicable low-carbon heating model for factories with strict environmental control needs. This is LONGi's second Climate Lighthouse recognition. In 2025, its Jiaxing base was named a Manufacturing Lighthouse Model after achieving a 20% reduction in energy consumption per unit of output. The company is also expanding into scenario-based energy solutions with solar, storage, and hydrogen systems, while helping small suppliers lower their carbon costs. The award underscores LONGi's focus on governance-driven climate transition and practical decarbonization in manufacturing.
