Worth noting that 42% of electricity from PPAs is decent but not yet dominant. The 80% target by 2030 is ambitious. Would like to see what the PPA contract terms look like and whether they are matched hourly or annually.

The capacity expansion from 2,000 to 5,000 passengers per hour is the real story here. More bums on seats per kWh is how rail competes with aviation on carbon intensity. But that requires infrastructure investment and cross-border coordination.

The PPA share is still only 42%. If they want 80% by 2030 they need to sign more contracts soon. UK renewable buildout is not infinite and competition for PPAs is rising.
