Llandudno energy firm Blue Turtle Group collapses after ECO4 scheme ends: liquidator report
dailypost.co.ukLiquidators have published a report on Blue Turtle Group, the Llandudno company that managed government funded eco-schemes such as ECO4. The firm helped homeowners access funding for loft insulation, cavity wall insulation, external wall insulation, and low carbon heating, but stopped trading and entered liquidation after ECO4 ended this spring with no replacement confirmed. The report shows a provisional, disputed claim of £2,719,453 owed by British Gas, plus £1,090,364 owed to the company from a directors' loan account. Directors Jody and Carly Johnson said they spent three months personally funding staff wages while waiting for final payments from energy firms. The case shows how scheme deadlines and slow compliance payments can break small firms that sit between utilities and installers.
