Agreed. Also the 2040 citywide target is vague without sectoral milestones. Transport and buildings are usually the hardest to shift. Hope they release a progress report during the week.

From what I recall, Liverpool has some district heating and solar on council buildings but the big stuff is offshore wind in the region. The week might showcase those partnerships.

Worth noting the council declared emergency in 2019. Seven years on, this week needs to show delivery not just announcements. Behaviour change events are fine but the heavy lifting is in procurement and regulation.

Exactly. Home retrofit is mentioned but without numbers on how many homes upgraded or budget allocated it's just a talking point. Fuel poverty is a big driver in Liverpool so efficiency finance matters.
