LiuGong has deployed a fleet of DW105AE battery electric wide-body trucks at a Conch Cement mine in southern China, supporting Conch's goal of operating a zero-carbon mine. The 70-tonne trucks use 528 kWh lithium iron phosphate batteries from CATL and a 500 kW motor. Conch Cement reports its transportation equipment electrification rate exceeded 25% in 2025, up 12.5% year on year. The deployment is part of a broader partnership between LiuGong and Conch Cement to replace diesel equipment with electric alternatives. At the Baimashan mine in eastern China, Conch has already achieved fully electric operations with electric drilling rigs and mining trucks. The company estimates that converting 100 mining trucks to electric will cut annual oil use by 12,000 tonnes and reduce carbon emissions by 37,000 tonnes per year, while lowering per-tonne operation and maintenance costs by over 50%.
