LiuGong delivers battery-electric mining trucks to Conch Cement for zero-carbon mining operations in China
fuelcellsworks.comLiuGong has supplied a fleet of DW105AE battery-electric wide-body mining trucks to Conch Cement's operations in southern China. The 70-tonne trucks use CATL lithium iron phosphate batteries and a 500 kW electric drive motor, with regenerative braking and improved energy recovery. They operate alongside LiuGong's cable-electric excavator to form an integrated electric mining system. Conch Cement reported that over 25% of its transportation fleet was electrified by end of 2025. The deployment supports the company's goal of building scalable zero-carbon mines. The trucks offer 10% more traction, 5% higher energy recovery, and 20% faster lifting compared to previous models.
