Lime, the largest shared micromobility operator, has cut its company-wide carbon emissions intensity by 81.4% since 2019, according to its 2025 Carbon Inventory Report. The improvement comes even as total distance traveled on its e-bikes and e-scooters grew by roughly 250% over the same period. The company credits expanded use of HVO100 renewable fuel for logistics, low-carbon aluminium and battery cells, and recycling partnerships for batteries and motors. Lime is now four years ahead of its Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) goal for Scope 1 and 2 emissions and more than two years ahead for Scope 3. For the first time, engineering consultancy WSP independently verified Scope 1 and 2 figures. Scope 3 numbers were not independently assured, but Lime says it follows the GHG Protocol with detailed supplier and operational data. The report was published shortly after Lime's Nasdaq listing.
