LG Electronics has secured multiple sustainability certifications for its 2026 TV models, including Reducing CO2 and Measured CO2 labels from the Carbon Trust. The company focuses on lowering the carbon footprint of its OLED displays by removing backlights and reducing the total number of components required for production. Beyond emissions, the 2026 lineup emphasizes circular economy goals through the use of post-consumer recycled plastics. LG reports that its OLED TVs are expected to save approximately 80,000 tons of CO2 and 15,000 tons of plastic compared to equivalent LCD models.
