Leko Labs has completed D'Haus, a 95-home timber-framed building in the Rout Lens eco-neighborhood in Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg. The structural components were manufactured at the company's factory in Foetz using algorithmic design and robotic production, then assembled on site. The building stores roughly 1,500 tonnes of biogenic CO2, according to the Energy and Environment Office, and uses bio-based materials with circular design principles. The seven-story project is Leko Labs' largest residential delivery to date and demonstrates that industrialized timber construction can scale to large residential developments. The company's system is certified up to R+11 and aims to reduce on-site work while controlling timelines and working conditions. D'Haus is part of a larger brownfield redevelopment that will eventually include more than 1,400 homes.
