LanzaTech is partnering with the Technical University of Denmark to create an AI-powered biofoundry. The facility focuses on engineering microbes that convert industrial waste gases, including CO2 and methane, into sustainable aviation fuel, plastics, and proteins. Unlike traditional carbon capture that stores emissions underground, this gas fermentation approach turns waste carbon into marketable products. The project aims to scale the production of low-carbon materials by increasing the availability of specialized research infrastructure for anaerobic microbes.
