Kyungdong Navien has opened a new heating electrification center in Jeju to support South Korea's transition from fossil fuel boilers to electric heat pumps. The hub provides product demonstrations, data collection, and technical support to accelerate the national goal of installing 3.5 million heat pumps by 2035. Supported by local government subsidies, the initiative aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 5.18 million tons. The program targets single-family and multi-unit homes, particularly those already utilizing solar power, to lower the cost of transitioning to low-carbon heating systems.
