KT is supplying renewable energy to Tokyo Electron Korea through a direct Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). This deal allows the semiconductor equipment maker to source green power directly from a supplier, bypassing the traditional power market to meet RE100 goals. The agreement starts with 15 MW of capacity and plans to scale up to 50 MW. This move helps Tokyo Electron Korea manage Scope 3 emissions and meet the carbon reduction requirements of its global semiconductor customers.
