Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME) is expanding its CBAM training program for small and midsize enterprises that export to the EU. The agency now offers a combined course that includes hands-on practice calculating carbon emissions and drafting EU-format reports. Training sessions have been extended from 3 to 4 hours and increased from 4 to 6 sessions, held offline at major hubs across South Korea from late July through August. KOSME is also recruiting a second cohort for its SME CBAM response infrastructure program through August 6. The new round introduces a support type that verifies companies' self-prepared carbon emissions reports. Selected firms can receive up to 42 million won in government subsidies. The program aims to help smaller exporters comply with tightening EU carbon trade regulations.
