Korea Southern Power Company held a two day field workshop for employees at the Jeongam Wind Farm and the Untan Godo Trail in Gangwon Province. The event was led by CEO Kim Joon-dong and focused on the company's shift from coal to clean energy generation. Participants walked a 15.7 kilometer trail that traces the history of the coal industry and visited a wind farm built on a former coal production site. The workshop also included leadership training for department level staff on AI, organizational culture, and change management. The company says it will continue expanding hands on training to help employees drive innovation during the energy transition. The event signals how legacy coal operators in South Korea are retooling their workforce and culture for a lower carbon grid.
