Kia is entering the Japanese electric commercial vehicle market with the PV5, a purpose-built vehicle designed for cargo and passenger use. The move aligns with Japan's target to have electric vehicles make up 30 percent of new car sales by 2030. The PV5 features a modular body system and CHAdeMO charging compatibility to suit local infrastructure. It also includes V2L and V2H capabilities, allowing the vans to act as emergency power sources during natural disasters.
