Khimod Develops High-Yield Synthetic Methanol Production Technology
emag.directindustry.comFrench startup Khimod has introduced a compact catalytic system for producing e-methanol from carbon dioxide and low-carbon hydrogen. The technology claims a significantly higher yield than traditional processes, producing up to 25 kg of methanol per kilogram of catalyst per hour in a reactor only one cubic meter in size. By utilizing a milli-structured design and high-pressure reactions, the system aims to reduce production costs by 15 to 20 percent. The company is currently operating a mini-infrastructure to optimize purity and minimize raw material loss as it scales toward industrial application.
