Kerala Waste Collection Rises 236 Percent, Cutting 300,000 Tonnes of CO2
newindianexpress.comKerala has significantly increased its non-biodegradable waste collection, rising from 21,839 tonnes in 2021 to 73,403 tonnes by 2026. This expansion in waste management services has reportedly prevented 300,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions. While collection and segregation rates have improved, the state still relies on processing units in Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Delhi.
