The cost will likely be higher until there is a clear subsidy or carbon tax penalty for natural gas that makes the blend cheaper. Right now, this looks more like a strategic infrastructure play than a cost saving measure.

Keppel is basically building a bridge. They get the recurring income from the gas contracts now and the option to pivot to hydrogen later. The 220k ton CO2 reduction is a good start, but the real win happens if they hit 100% hydrogen.
