Kenya's carbon credit sector is facing a potential loss of KES 80 billion as global standards shift toward high-integrity credits. This transition increases costs for monitoring, reporting, and verification (MRV). Developers must now provide stronger scientific evidence of additionality and permanence to maintain competitiveness and attract international buyers.
