Karida Humaira Niode, VP Sustainability at Indonesia's TBS Energi Utama, has been named to the Women of the Future 50 Rising Stars in ESG 2026 list. She is the only Indonesian woman on the list, recognized for work that ties climate goals to business and financing decisions. TBS has divested its coal-fired power plants, published one of Indonesia's first corporate climate transition plans, and now gets more than 60% of revenue from non-coal businesses. TBS is shifting from coal toward waste management, renewable energy, and electric vehicle infrastructure. Through Electrum, a joint venture with GoTo, the company arranged a $15 million financing facility with ADB, DBS Bank, and the Australian Climate Finance Partnership for low-emission transportation. The award highlights a broader trend: ESG professionals moving from reporting into transaction design, with more women involved in financial decisions.
