KARBNZ Global Builds a Natural Capital Platform Around Forests, Biomass, and Biochar Beyond Carbon Credits
carboncredits.comKARBNZ Global is building a natural capital platform across 1.1 million hectares in Brazil. The company combines reforestation, biomass production, biochar carbon removal, and ARR carbon credits into a single diversified operation. Instead of relying only on future credit sales, KARBNZ aims to generate revenue from multiple streams tied to restored and managed forests. Biochar is a central part of the strategy. It is made by heating biomass in a low-oxygen process, storing carbon for centuries while improving soil. In 2024, biochar accounted for 86% of durable carbon dioxide removal deliveries. Corporate demand for durable removals is rising fast, but supply remains low. KARBNZ estimates its biochar operations could remove about 2.57 million tons of CO2e per year if targets are met. The voluntary carbon market has shifted toward projects with tangible assets, diversified revenue, and strong verification. KARBNZ is positioning itself to meet that demand by building a climate business that can generate value before carbon credits are issued.
