KAPSARC is taking part in the 25th WPC Energy Congress in Riyadh from October 11 to 15, 2026, as a National Partner. More than 20 KAPSARC researchers and experts will contribute across the congress programs, covering energy supply and demand, natural gas, ESG, circular carbon economy, AI, mobility, and lower-emission pathways for refining and petrochemicals. A notable session is on carbon dioxide removal technologies, including direct air capture, bioenergy with carbon capture and storage, and biochar. Another session looks at using generative AI for evidence-based oil market analysis. KAPSARC also has a pavilion with thematic hubs on oil, transportation, clean energy, AI, and collaboration. The event is hosted in Saudi Arabia for the first time in the congress's history. For anyone tracking energy policy, carbon removals, or how research institutions influence climate discussions, this is a useful agenda to follow.
