Japan's Kanadevia Corporation has signed a strategic partnership with Bahwan Engineering Company to develop green hydrogen and low-carbon fuel projects in Oman. The deal combines Kanadevia's water electrolysis stack technology with Bahwan's local engineering and construction experience. The companies will work together on bidding, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and sales for green hydrogen and e-methane projects in the Sultanate. Kanadevia is already working with Oman LNG on one of the world's largest commercial e-methane plants. That facility will convert captured CO2 into synthetic methane using green hydrogen. The new partnership aims to speed up project delivery by pairing Japanese electrolyzer tech with Omani construction capability. No specific project sizes or timelines were announced yet.
