Japan's Kanadevia Corporation has signed a strategic partnership with Bahwan Engineering Company to develop green hydrogen and low-carbon fuel projects in Oman. The deal combines Kanadevia's water electrolysis stack technology with Bahwan's local engineering and construction experience. The companies will work together on project bidding, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and sales for green hydrogen and e-methane developments in the Sultanate. Kanadevia is already involved in a large e-methane project with Oman LNG, which aims to convert captured CO2 into synthetic methane using green hydrogen. This partnership signals growing momentum for hydrogen-based decarbonization in the Gulf region, though specific project timelines and capacity targets have not been disclosed yet.
