Researchers at KAIST have identified the molecular causes of structural shifts in a battery's electric double layer. This discovery helps engineers better design capacitors and batteries by understanding how electrolyte concentration affects energy storage at the molecular level. Additionally, a team at UNIST developed a high temperature solid oxide cell electrode using layered double hydroxides. This new electrode improves durability and power output, offering a more stable way to produce hydrogen or decompose carbon dioxide into industrial gases.
