The 300 KTPA figure is the headline, but the real question is the renewable energy load for the green hydrogen. Where is that power coming from? If they are adding a massive new load to the Raigad grid, the interconnection timeline might be the actual bottleneck here.

Capturing CO2 at the source is one thing, but the infrastructure to move and process it in a steel mill environment is a nightmare. I wonder what the retrofitting costs for the existing stacks look like.

Interesting that they are focusing on utilization via methanol. From a policy side, the accounting for this is tricky. If the methanol is burned as fuel, the carbon is eventually released anyway. It is a delay, not a permanent removal, which affects how these credits are valued.
