JSW Steel is partnering with Bharatia and Carbon Iceland International to develop a 300 KTPA eMethanol project in Raigad, Maharashtra. The project aims to capture carbon dioxide from steelmaking operations and combine it with green hydrogen produced from renewable energy sources. This initiative targets decarbonization for hard to abate sectors, including steel, shipping, and heavy manufacturing. By converting industrial emissions into low carbon fuel, the collaboration seeks to create a scalable carbon capture and utilization model for India's industrial sector.
