The 300 ktpa target is the headline, but the real question is the renewable energy load for the green hydrogen. Where is that power coming from and is the local grid in Raigad ready for that kind of electrolyzer capacity?

Hydrogen is expensive to move and store. Doing this on-site at the steel mill is the only way this makes sense. Still, the maintenance on these large-scale CCU systems usually eats into the projected margins.

Interesting that they are starting with a high-purity CO2 stream. It makes the initial capture costs much lower. I wonder if there are specific Indian subsidies for e-methanol or if they are banking on international carbon credits to make the math work.
