JSW MG Motor India installs 1,000 community EV chargers across 470 locations nationwide

The chargers are placed in residential complexes, campuses, hospitals, hotels, and industrial parks. The company says its EVs have covered over 290 crore kilometers, preventing roughly 4.17 lakh metric tonnes of CO2 emissions. At its Halol facility in Gujarat, nearly 95 percent of energy comes from renewable sources, and over 78 percent of total operations run on renewable power. The plant uses a Zero External Discharge system for water reuse and has cut water consumption by 23 percent. It also holds Zero Waste to Landfill certification and uses IoT systems to improve energy efficiency. The company plans to launch three new energy vehicles in 2026, including plug-in hybrids. JSW MG Motor India says it sees multiple technology paths contributing to India's shift toward cleaner transportation.
