Jons Civil Engineering has cut carbon emissions from its site generators by up to 90% by switching from fossil diesel to ISCC-certified hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO). This transition was supported by Tria Energy and required no modifications to existing equipment, allowing for immediate deployment across infrastructure projects. As a drop-in replacement, HVO provides a practical pathway for construction and infrastructure firms to lower their carbon footprint in locations where grid electrification is not yet feasible. The move helps the company progress through the Carbon Ladder sustainability framework while maintaining operational reliability.
