Jersey's government has extended its low carbon heating incentive until 2030, giving property owners more time to apply for funding toward air source heat pumps and other approved technologies. Homeowners can receive up to £9,000 in match funding for a heat pump, while low income households may qualify for up to £15,000 without match funding. Officials say the scheme helps lower heating bills, reduce carbon emissions, and future-proof homes, with hundreds of islanders already using it. The extension is part of Jersey's carbon neutral roadmap, but some related schemes are closing. Applications for an electric vehicle charger incentive and a grant toward energy audits must be submitted by 13 December at 11:59 GMT. Environment Minister Mary Le Hegarat framed the move as providing certainty for homeowners and businesses investing in more efficient heating systems, even as the island works toward its 2050 net zero target.
