Japan Launches Integrated Synthetic Fuel Plant Using DAC and Green Hydrogen
moroccoworldnews.comJapan has opened its first fully integrated synthetic fuel demonstration plant. The facility produces carbon neutral fuel by combining hydrogen from water electrolysis with carbon dioxide captured from the air using Direct Air Capture technology. Currently producing one barrel of fuel per day, the plant serves as a testbed for the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis process. The goal is to refine the technology for industrial scale use in aviation and heavy transport to reduce reliance on fossil fuels.
