Jalo is raising 20 million euros in equity to build a negative-emissions energy plant in Almelo, Netherlands. The facility will produce 125,000 tonnes of sustainable pellets annually while capturing 56,000 tonnes of biogenic CO2 for industrial use and permanent geological storage. The project utilizes a BECCS model supported by 15-year biomass supply agreements and Dutch SDE++ subsidies. Jalo intends to use this first site as a replicable module for further low-carbon energy infrastructure across Europe.
