Jain Irrigation Systems has commissioned a high-tech industrial biochar plant in Jalgaon, Maharashtra. The facility can process over 50 metric tonnes of agricultural residue daily, producing approximately 20,000 tonnes of biochar per year. This project focuses on engineered carbon removal and climate-smart agriculture by converting crop waste into stable carbon. It represents one of the largest single-unit biochar reactors globally, aiming to scale carbon sequestration in the agricultural sector.
