ITC Limited is expanding its biodiversity program with a focus on mangrove restoration in Andhra Pradesh. By protecting these blue carbon ecosystems, which store significantly more carbon than tropical forests, the initiative aims to build coastal resilience against cyclones and sea level rise. The program combines ecological restoration with community led conservation, including the protection of Olive Ridley sea turtles. ITC intends to scale these efforts to cover 1 million acres by 2030, aligning its reporting with the Taskforce on Nature related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) framework.
