Isometric tops Series A at $50M, expands carbon certification beyond removal to industrial sectors
eu-startups.comLondon-based Isometric, a carbon removal certifier, has extended its Series A to $50 million with a new tranche of about $10 million. The round includes backing from Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), Tokyo Gas's Acario Innovation, and others. Isometric has contracted to certify over 16 million tonnes of carbon removal, more than any other certifier, and now plans to expand into industrial emissions, energy, fuels, and materials. The company runs a public registry where each certificate is published with underlying data, calculations, and evidence. Its AI-powered platform, Certify, works alongside independent verifiers to check claims. Customers include Microsoft, Anglo American, Boeing, and JPMorgan Chase. The new funding will combine Isometric's verification tech with ICE's market infrastructure and data expertise. The raise sits within a broader wave of 2026 European funding for carbon certification and measurement startups, including Equitable Earth, Seqana, and D-CRBN. Together these rounds total roughly $58 million in disclosed funding, highlighting growing investor interest in making industrial carbon claims auditable and financeable.
