Isometric Raises $40 Million to Expand AI Certification Platform from Carbon Removal to Industrial Sectors
esgtoday.comIsometric, a London-based certification provider, has raised $40 million in Series A funding led by AVP (formerly AXA Venture Partners) to expand its AI-powered certification platform beyond carbon removal into the broader industrial economy. The company's platform, Certify, uses AI agents to cross-check millions of data points from sensors, satellite data, and supply chain records to verify certification claims. This aims to replace traditional sample-based audits with more comprehensive verification. The funding will help Isometric target the $350 billion global certification market, including regulatory compliance and sustainability standards. The company was founded in 2022 by Onfido co-founder Eamon Jubbawy and already operates a public carbon removal registry. Existing investors Lowercarbon Capital and Plural also participated, along with angel investors John Doerr and Walter Kortschak. The expansion signals growing demand for automated, transparent verification in carbon markets and industrial decarbonization.
