A partnership between Cairn Homes, UCD, Kilsaran, and Ecocem is implementing a full-scale demonstration of ACT low-carbon cement in Ireland. The project aims to validate a technology that can reduce cement-related CO2 emissions by up to 70 percent by significantly lowering clinker content. Supported by funding from Construct Innovate, the initiative focuses on durability testing and the development of new certification standards for alternative binders. This effort supports broader corporate goals to reduce Scope 3 emissions in the construction sector.
