Ireland Projected to Miss 2030 Emissions Targets
belfasttelegraph.co.ukA new report from the Environmental Protection Agency shows Ireland is significantly off track to meet its 2030 climate goals. Even with full implementation of announced policies, emissions reductions may only reach 25%, far short of the 51% target compared to 2018 levels. Critical delays in offshore wind projects and interconnectors are hindering progress. The transport, industry, and building sectors are expected to be the furthest from their targets, while agriculture projections show limited reduction potential.
