Iraq's Green Taxi plan: electric taxis in Baghdad could cut emissions and ease gasoline crunch
shafaq.comIraq is moving ahead with a Green Taxi project in Baghdad that would bring electric taxis into the city and pair them with solar-powered charging at existing transport garages. The plan comes as Baghdad and several provinces face recurring gasoline shortages, which have closed filling stations and pushed up prices for hybrid and electric vehicles. The Transport Ministry is working with the Environment Ministry on the rollout, and a feasibility study is still being prepared.
