Intco Medical, a major disposable glove manufacturer, released its 2025 ESG report showing a 32.5% reduction in carbon emissions per glove compared to 2022, hitting its 2030 target ahead of schedule. Emissions per glove fell to 18.14 grams of CO2 equivalent, down 11.14% year over year. The company also generated over 12,500 MWh of renewable electricity from solar and wind and aims for carbon neutrality in its own operations by 2050. The report covers progress in clean energy adoption, water use reduction, intelligent manufacturing, and supply chain responsibility. Intco Medical operates in more than 150 countries and continues to invest in R&D and automation. The company also reported workforce data including 57.76% women employees and 100% training coverage. The 32.5% reduction is solid but I want to know what share of their total energy use that 12.5 GWh covers. If they are still mostly on grid power in China, the real carbon impact depends on the grid mix.

Good point. 12.5 GWh is not huge for a large manufacturer. Would be useful to see total energy consumption and the split between self generated renewables and purchased power. Also curious about the timeline for the 2050 neutrality goal.

Water use down to 0.20 liters per glove is interesting. For a glove manufacturer, water and energy are the big levers. The 6.88% drop is decent but not huge. Would like to know if that came from process changes or just efficiency gains.
