InPlanet is recruiting a Head of Carbon to lead its carbon credit operations. The role focuses on scaling Enhanced Rock Weathering (ERW) in tropical agriculture, specifically within Brazil, to remove gigatons of CO2 from the atmosphere. The position involves managing carbon scientists, overseeing credit issuance with registries like Isometric, and coordinating between technical and business teams. It is a remote-first leadership role requiring a background in geochemistry or environmental science.

InPlanet is looking for a Head of Carbon to scale their ERW projects. It is a remote role focused on getting credits issued through registries like Isometric. Worth a look for anyone with a geochemistry background who can actually manage a team.

The mention of Isometric is the key detail here. They are pushing for higher integrity standards. The real challenge for this role will be aligning the field data from Brazil with those strict registry requirements.

ERW is interesting but the logistics of moving that much rock to tropical farms are usually the hidden cost. I wonder if the operational side of this role includes the supply chain for the minerals or just the accounting.

The posting says the role reports to the VP of Science and focuses on issuance and GHG accounting. It sounds more like a compliance and management play than a logistics role.
