INEOS LowINCO2 Range: Low Carbon Olefins and Polymers Cut Product Footprints by Up to Half
hydrocarbonengineering.comINEOS Olefins & Polymers Europe has launched LowINCO2, a product range of olefins and polyolefins with a carbon footprint up to 50% lower than the European industry average. The materials target sectors like transport components, pipes, medical devices, electronics, packaging, and construction that need lower embedded carbon without changing polymer performance. The company says the footprint will fall further when its €5 billion Project ONE ethane cracker starts up in Antwerp. Buyers will still need to see the calculation method, product-level data, and third-party verification before using LowINCO2 in their own carbon reporting. For now, the launch signals that industrial feedstock buyers are starting to treat carbon footprint as a purchasing criterion.
